Pump Up The Volume: History of House Music (2001) is a comprehensive, 3-hour documentary by UK director Carl Hindmarch. Originally aired as a DVD TV series on the UK's BBC Channel 4, the documentary takes the viewer on a journey through the early roots of the music in Chicago; the rise of Detroit techno and acid house; and the European rave scene that gave way to additional forms of electronic music. Featuring interviews with some of the House Music industry's biggest names and originators, as well as sights and sounds from the late 70s to late 90s, this documentary is a must-watch for any fan of House Music.
