House Dance with Danny Dance on iTunes

My latest adventures in House Dancing have yielded HDDD Episode 6*, which has been posted to Youtube. For those that might be curious, House Dancing is an urban form of social dance; a unique category of dance with its own history, borrowing heavily from the influences of Jazz, Tap, Capoeira, Salsa, Ballet, African, Hip-Hop, and other forms of movement. It’s come to the forefront of the global dance scene mostly in the last 15 years and continues to be breathe mainly underground, which accounts for why it’s one of the least-known social dance styles, especially in the United States outside major metro areas like NYC, San Fran, Chicago, etc. In places like England, France, and Japan, House Dancing is much better known, with major national and international competitions held each year. Insofar as it has existed for less time than, say, B-Boying; is less acrobatic; and is danced to House music genres that remain as underground as the dance itself, we have a lot of work ahead of us to continue to expose new audiences to it. So I definitely encourage House Dancers everywhere to share their love of this artform by posting their own videos, and for viewers to share these videos on your social networks .
